Position: Digital Publishing Intern

Description
Gill Education, Ireland’s leading publisher of educational titles, is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and ambitious individual to help support the creation, delivery, and maintenance of eBooks and digital resources. This is a varied position offering the successful candidate the opportunity to work closely with the production, editorial, and digital teams learning key skills imperative to the overall publishing process.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Optimise final print PDFs using agreed export settings for eBook creation
- Update master lists and trackers for eBook optimisation and digital asset workflows
- Upload, republish, and manage eBooks and digital resources on Gill Classroom
- Proof and test eBooks and digital resources before and after platform uploads
- Support structured QA testing across multiple devices and platforms
- Ensure asset accessibility data is retained after upload
- Support workflows and QA processes to help standardise best practices
- Maintain live digital content and support updates to existing resources
- Collaborate with other teams to support digital publishing workflows

- A keen interest in how technology can be used to improve the education experience
Experience/Qualifications
- Relevant Third Level Qualification
- Experience with InDesign would be a distinct advantage
Type of Vacancy: Paid, 3 month contract
