Gill Education x Make-A-Wish Ireland: Wear What You Wish & Win a Hamper!
At Gill Education, we believe in the power of imagination, learning, and giving back. That’s why we’re thrilled to partner with Make-A-Wish Ireland for their inspiring campaign, Wear What You Wish, running from October 17th to 24th.
This initiative invites schools across Ireland to dress up, donate, and help grant life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. Whether you’ve always dreamed of being a superhero, a scientist, or a star athlete-this is your chance to wear your wish and make a difference.
How to Get Involved
Taking part is easy. Just follow these four steps:
- Plan Your Event – Choose a day that suits your school. Whether it’s Dress Down Friday or Superhero Saturday, it’s all about celebrating dreams.
- Aim for the Stars – Encourage donations from pupils. Contributions can be made in cash or online, and Make-A-Wish can even set up a custom donation page for your school.
- Register Your School – Sign up here to receive your event pack.
- Spread the Word – Share your costumes and creativity on social media and tag Make-A-Wish Ireland!

Why It Matters
Since 1992, Make-A-Wish Ireland has granted over 3,400 wishes to children across the country, including 214 wishes in 2024 alone. These wishes offer hope, strength, and joy to children facing serious medical conditions-providing a magical escape from hospital routines and treatments.
Make-A-Wish Ireland receives no government funding, relying entirely on the generosity of the Irish public. By participating in Wear What You Wish, your school can help bring dreams to life for children who need it most.
