A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, flexible and hard-working Marketing and Publicity Intern to assist the department in the busy run-up to Christmas. Under the direction of the Head of Communciations, you will support the marketing and PR team as they implement over 30 book promotion campaigns over a 3-month period.
You will assist with securing media coverage, running digital marketing campaigns, organising book launches and events and any other administrative support that is required. The job may require attendance at evening events and on weekends.
This role will provide critical support in Gill Books’ busiest, most high-pressure phase and you must be willing to assist and be capable of juggling priorities. You will be happy to take direction, pitch in and be rewarded by your ability to help the team achieve its goals. Your unflappable, can-do attitude will allow you to juggle a number of requests and demands, and your calm-under-pressure demeanour will enable you to prioritise accordingly.
You will be a confident, persuasive communicator across all mediums with excellent verbal and written skills. Familiar with the publishing and media landscapes and interested in learning more about them, you will be excited by our books and authors and their stories and have a passion for connecting them with as wide an audience as possible.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain an understanding of the publishing and media industries and gain valuable office work experience.
