At Gill Education, we aim to make the task of writing and publishing your book as smooth as possible by offering you assistance in areas where we have expertise. Publishing is a team activity; coordinating and optimising the talents not just of authors and editors, but also of marketing personnel, sales people, and those involved in production, distribution, and support services.
Here’s how it works:
The Publisher is the author’s main contact, from the very first discussion of the project through to publication and beyond. Gill Education publishers work closely with the author to discuss project ideas, assess the viability of proposals, and to develop manuscripts. Personal contact with the author is maintained throughout the life of a project, as the publisher is always available to deal with queries.
Production and Editorial
Your book will be assigned a Managing Editor who will manage it through the editorial and production process. This process can include editing, picture research, commissioning illustrations, page make-up, proofing, indexing and finally, printing or digital production. Our experienced designers, copy-editors, typesetters and proofreaders are committed to producing the best possible books on time.
Marketing, Sales & Distribution
Our marketing team will develop the presentation and promotion of your book/digital product and, along with our experienced sales team, will ensure effective market penetration. Sales representatives visit schools and academic institutions nationwide to promote new texts and our sample copy distribution service ensures all relevant teachers/lecturers receive a complimentary copy of your book for inspection.
